Hello lovies, I know it's been quite some time since the cursed kiss café has been open. Especially with covid upon us and the state of the world being uncertain for most.
So first and foremost I want to apologize for going silent for so long, and secondly I finally have some time to sit down and share some of the latest developments from my end that have been taking place.
To dive right into it I recently got a new bunny named Oreo. It's been about 6 years since I last had a pet, which was also a bunny. I had bunnies for most of my life, but I won't get into that history here. Anyway, having a fur child now does take up some time as other pet parents will no doubt know. Bunnies demand a lot of care and attention just like dogs and some cats, they are not a set and forget kind of pet.

Adjusting to life with a mostly free roam (which I highly encourage if your living space is well equipped to do so) bunny hasn't been a challenge but a new frontier to tackle. So far they're a well behaved bun and probably one of the most lazy loaves of bread I have ever seen and it's cute, until he starts chewing on baseboard then we have a problem (Currently working on a fix for it at the time of this post).
If you've ever taken a look at my socials or content outside of this blog you'll notice that slowly I am making changes across the board for better branding and advertising of my content. Of course if you haven't (and even if you have) I'll still run it down for ya. For a long time with streaming on twitch I never felt like I had found what I wanted to do, my niche so to speak.
There are so many amazing content creators putting in work, and not just streaming but beyond that. Turning their streams into a stepping stone for greater things outside of streaming itself; getting hired onto consulting boards for games they've been playing for ages, landing T.V. show deals, partnering up with charities to raise money for a variety of causes then turning around and becoming part of charity efforts and boards, landing sponsorships for products they trust, using streaming to build a rapport to land a career in gaming, etc., the list goes on.
So for me I had been struggling on how to use my stream as more than just entertainment, to make it an extension of myself, my ideals, and my ground for cultivating a community space that would ultimately let me really have some kind of impact and progress. I have finally kind of edged out what I am trying to do with a clear vision, I want to be a Goddess who inspires and celebrates creativity in all arts and promotes the idea of staying true to one's self and dreams.
With my twitch channel I have taken to streaming League of Legends and Destiny 2 recently as my primary and secondary games respectively.
These two are the pinnacle of importance to me because with League of Legends I hope to one day become an on-air talent (Caster/Analyst) and maybe later branch into behind the scenes (Coach/Team Analyst/GM of a Team). Also just in general I really want to promote more Black, Hispanic, LGBTQIA+ people within the community more. There just doesn't seem to be enough of us but I know we are out there and if I can inspire hope in some to come forward and make that content, try out for that team, or even just reach out to others I would be making waves.
The competitive nature of the game is just so exciting and I love to experiment with champion picks and builds; theory crafting is probably number one on my list of fun things to do in League of Legends. It plays into that aspect of being creative and thinking outside the box.
Not to mention Riot as a whole is an exemplification of that! Just look at the music they've been producing with K/DA and True Damage, the fantastic artwork they show off when new skins or champion concept are released. I would love to be apart of that world especially as they continue to add and diversify the the champions that exist within the world of Runeterra.
One little caveat though, I want to see more body types for femme presenting champions and also more black or darker skinned women; it shouldn't just end with Senna and Illaoi (honorable mention to Rek'Sai).
On the flip side there is Destiny 2 which I have been recently getting into right before the drop of their new DLC Beyond Light ( which is two days out at the time of me writing this). I have discovered it is such a joy to play and so many of my friends have enjoyed watching the trails and tribulations I go through in these fire fights and exploring the rich and deep world they have built within the game.
There is a satisfaction in being able to lead a fireteam to victory against a hard boss or even in PvP getting that clutch capture or kill.
I didn't expect it to allow me to connect with so many people. I hope to become apart of the community and grow with the game in whatever direction it's going.
Now, all of this branches into this blog and the brand new YouTube channel I created. I did have a channel before that I tried to promote but looking back at it, it felt more like a personal channel as opposed to something that could attract and bring people together.
Similar to with twitch I wanted to provide a grounds where people could really enjoy and connect with the content.
Thus, a new channel was born with that intent in mind, named after this very blog. Just like this blog I wanted a channel that channeled the energy and spirit of creativity. So on there the plan is to post videos covering the very same topics you would find here: Baking, Music, Gaming, Writing, Art and Lifestyle-based videos. I won't get into them here for I have a whole post planned to go into detail and properly breakdown/inform people about the content they can expect from me as I grow and evolve and really hit the ground running with this version of my branding.
I really hope this translates to you guys well and my vision holds the weight I hope it will.
All that said the blog will remain the same, it was the draw, the inspiration for all of this. It was the blueprint!
Anyway thank you all for joining my in this post, and I'm so excited to finally feel like I have a vision for not just my own future but futures that I can affect directly or indirectly.
So I'll see you guys in the next post! Until then please stay safe, stay in touch and stay you~

I'm glad you've found things you enjoy so much, and I'm interested to see how your youtube channel goes! Could you maybe provide a link for ease of access?
ReplyDeleteApologies for the late reply! In my next post I will be providing all relevant links so keep an eye out for that <3
